Biography

Peiyuan Xi is an enthusiastic director, producer, writer, and cinematographer based in Los Angeles and New York. He was assigned by Stars Collective Entertainment Group Inc as a director in the "Stars Collective” diversity program. After earning his bachelor's degree in Journalism from his hometown in China, he moves to Syracuse, New York to make films and finished his MFA degree in film at Syracuse University, Visual and Performing Arts School.

 

His short film “A Winter Afternoon” has been listed as a Semi-Finalist for the Academy Award & BAFTA & Canadian Screen Award qualified film festival Rhode Island International Film Festival (2022); was officially selected at the 75th Salerno International Film Festival and has been featured and screened for the world premiere in Salerno, Italy in November 2021; His films and experimental art videos also have been screened at the Everson Museum of Art (Syracuse, 2018/2021) and The Living Gallery (New York, 2021).  He has produced many other talented directors’ stories to let those amazing ideas transfer to screening movies. Did the executive producer for Charles Xiuzhi Dong's narrative short film "After Class" which won the Best Short Film award at Short Short Aisa Film Festival(2020), and also works as an executive producer for Charles another documentary film named "Anshan Daires" which was nominated at Student Academy Awards, USA in 2021. Did Associate Producer for Short Film "Follow the Current" which was awarded Gold Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival (2022).
